ABOUT.
I am an artist and art worker based in Cambridgeshire, UK.
I've been practising as an artist for 15 years and I work primarily in painting and drawing, with acrylic, oils, watercolours and charcoal. My work is mostly focused on people, portraiture and the body. I'm interested in the fluidity of identity and how people relate their physical self to their inner and outer worlds. I am drawn to traditional drawing and painting methods for their tactile and physical nature - the process of making and creativity is meditative and beneficial to good health.
I have taught painting skills and life drawing in a range of settings including privately and in schools, and to people of all ages. Currently, I run a life drawing class for adults as part of a sixth form adult education programme as well as teach privately from my home studio. I have worked as part of collaboratives, group projects and in public and community art settings. I enjoy using the creative process to connect people.
